“Face it people – there’s Foghorn…and then there’s everybody else.” -Stuart Mason – The Fiddlefreak.
Combine four great singers with a fury of traditional American fiddle music and you’ve found the Foghorn Stringband. Festival set by square dance – song by tune – they’re saving true country music from the meat grinder of pop-modernity. Foghorn has successfully distilled the essence of roots country music for your listening and dancing pleasure. From blistering traditional old time dance music to heart-wrenching love songs…from whiskey-soaked honky tonk to sanctified gospel…these guys and gals put it all together with a joyful spirit and sincerity that is unforgettable.
The Foghorn Stringband are: Reeb Willms on guitar – from rural central Washington, USA. Nadine Landry bass – from the Gaspè Coast in rural Quebec, Canada. Stephen ‘Sammy’ Lind fiddle & banjo – from not-so-rural Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. And Caleb Klauder, fiddle & mandolin – from Orcas Island, Washington, USA.
