A taste of music from the era of the old harpists, intertwined with the enchanting poetry of the bard, presented by Helen Davies, Áine Moynihan and Aibhlín McCrann.
Helen Davies and Aibhlín McCrann have long been recognized as excellent harpists in Ireland and abroad. They have been playing together for many years and have initiated many projects together, including publishing books of music and organizing harping events. They were both involved in founding the International Harp Festival, the gathering of harpists set up to revive and develop the harping tradition more than thirty years ago. Helen Davies, originally from Wales, is closely involved in the music of Shaun Davey. Based in Denmark, she collaborates with her husband, the trumpeter and composer Palle Mikkeloborg.
Aibhlín McCrann is a noted commentator ón harping. She was recently appointed  as Chairperson of a newly established organization, Cruit Éireann, which has the aim of increasing participation with stakeholders of the harping tradition in Ireland and abroad.
Áine Moynihan is a poet, theatre director and professional actor. She has long been involved in national and international cultural events both as a practitioner and as an organizer. She founded An Lab cultural centre in Dingle to create opportunities for locally based actors and artists to present high quality work through the medium of Irish. A book of her poetry, Canals of Memory, has been published by Doghouse Press.
