The Geology of the Dingle Peninsula – a story of environmental change through time
The rocks of the Dingle Peninsula record a 485 million year history of dramatic
environmental and climatic change. Professor Ken Higgs will give illustrated lecture in the Blasket Island Centre and lead a walk to the nearby coastline from the Centre.
Ken Higgs is from Dudley in the West Midlands of England. He has worked with the Geological Survey of Ireland and is now Profesor Emeritus of Geology at UCC. He is the co-author of The Geology of the Dingle Peninsula published in 2018
