Dé hAoine 29ú Aibreán:

Taispeántas TOSTA (leanúnach)

Níos luaithe i mbliana eagraíodh tréimhsí cónaithí i ngach réigiún le malairt ealaíontóra ó réigiún ar leith eile.  Feicfidh tú toradh na hoibre i mbaile beag TOSTA le linn na féile.  Is samplaí atá ann den obair atá cruthaithe ag na healaíontóirí a ghlac páirt sa chuid seo den togra.

TOSTA EXHIBITION (ongoing)

The art works exhibited at the TOSTA village, are the result of the Artist in Residence programme which took place in each region earlier in the year.  A sample of the works created will be shown to audiences at TOSTA Village during the festival.

CEARDLANN ORIGAMI (Leanúnach)

Beidh deis ag cuairteoirí go Baile TOSTA páirt a ghlacadh i gceardlann Oragami.  Cuirfear fáilte roimh aon duine gur suim leo é, teacht agus trial a bhaint as bád pháipéir a dhéanamh mar aitheantas ar an nascadh farraige atá againn leis na réigiúin eile atá páirteach i dtogra TOSTA.

ORIGAMI WORKSHOP (ongoing)

?An origami workshop conducted by a local artist or coordinator will be offered in TOSTA Village. Any person interested will be welcome to? ?come to the TOSTA Village and?  create paper boats in recognition of our shared maritime culture with the other regions of the TOSTA project.

TOSTA is a flagship project of European City of Culture 2016 Donastia/San Sebastian. We are honoured at Féile na Bealtaine to be the first port of call on a summer tour of 7 Atlantic nations with minority languages. A visual element of the project is the Tosta Village, a space created to showcase music, art, film and collaborative projects, this will be on the Seafront, behind Garvey’s Supervalu. There will be a pop up restaurant selling Tapas and snacks, a performance stage and an Exhibition space.

Two highlights of the Tosta are a fusion concert by Banna Tosta (in Halla na Feothanaí) and Scléip Chorcha Dhuibhne, a free open air concert to get you dancing. There will be an ongoing origami workshop at the village, and as part of lá na bPáistí (in the park) a flash-mob organised in conjunction with the 6 other Atlantic nations. Throughout the programme look for the Tosta logo to denote events happening in Tosta Village.

Tosta has been brought to Dingle through the very good offices of Eibhlín de Paor of Ealaíon na Gaeltachta to whom we are eternally grateful.

Togra ceannródach isea Tosta, a thugann 7 bpobal mionteangach ar bhord an tAtlantach le chéile. Shíolríodh an smaoineamh seo i gCathair Chultúrtha na hEorpa 2016 Donastia (San Sebastian) agus is é atá ann ná ceilliúradh cruthaitheach ar chomhoibriú chultúrtha.

Cruthófar baile beag cois claddaigh sa Daingean, le hárthaigh atá tar éis taisteal thar farraige ó Donastia, sa Spáinn, áit ina mbeidh blaiseadh de cheol, ealaíon, scannaín agus tograí traschultúrtha á dteaspáint.

Buaicphointí clár Tosta ná ceolchoirm Banna Tosta i Halla na Feothanaí – comhoibriú ceolmhar, idirnáisiúnta agus Scléip Chorca Dhuibhne – ceolchoirm faoin aer a chuirfeadh fonn rinnce ar éinne! Beidh Oragami, bia agus ceol sa bhaile agus mar chuid de Lá na bPáistí (sa pháirc) beidh flash-mob ilchultúrtha! Fair amach do logo Tosta ar fuaid an chláir chun súil ar imeachtaí.

Is le cabhair deontais ó Ealaín na Gaeltachta atá Tosta ag teacht chun na leithinise. Tugaimid ár mbuíochas ó chroí d’Eibhlín de Paor a thug gach tacaíocht dúinn.

The word ‘tosta’ means the bench in a boat, and is a word that is present, with small variations, in many minority languages along the European Atlantic coast.

This project is a collaboration between cultural agents in several ‘smaller’ language communities of Europe’s Atlantic coast in Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Fryslân, Basque Country, Galicia and Ireland.  The project is one of the travelling embassies of Donostia / San Sebastian 2016 European Capital of Culture.  The project combines the promotion of artistic creation, the celebration of linguistic and cultural diversity and the balanced management of local languages in an international project. www.tosta2016
