Dluth ceangailte le dearcadh Paul Kingsnorth roimh ré. In this short film, a young poet travels through space and time to come face-to-face with an entity as old as Éire, and through the poetry of Shane Davis, he speaks from the perspective of the River Shannon. Followed by a discussion stimulated by the film with Dr Billy MagFhloinn, director Shane Serrano and poet Shane Davis.

Roger Stalley lecture

Roger Stalley Lecture

In this his second talk at Feile na Bealtaine, Roger Stalley, fellow emeritus of Trinity College Dublin, will examine some of the more unusual features of the church at Kilmalkedar, explaining how its design relates to other buildings both in Ireland and elsewhere in Romanesque Europe. He will also consider how it was constructed and why such a fashionable building came to be erected at Kilmalkedar.
