Fós le teacht, known locally and across our native tongue as still or yet to come, represents the foundation on which Laura’s current exhibition was inspired.
Dingle itself, its spaces, places, rarities, colour and light – a constant inspiration in Laura’s explorations, plays a huge part yet again in this collection.
Perhaps the incredible, rare and wonderful time that Dingle has endured recently in the form of their footballing fairytale, added depth to the meaning, curiosity and presence of the word ‘yet’ in the artist’s research.
These works explore the glimmers which can be found here all year round, amongst the ordinary and the extraordinary happenings that make Dingle, Dingle. It is a raised glass to the days we’re in, the moments we’re gifted to be here, and the magical ones yet to come.
This collection acts as a love letter of sorts, a thank you to the town which Laura believes gives a lot more than it takes.
It is an ode to the rare, magical place that Dingle is, out on it’s own in many ways. A place that continues to give, and continues to remind us that just when we think we’ve seen it all, we’ve seen absolutely nothing yet.
