Are stories confined to the page and the voice, or are they embedded in landscapes, objects, names, and memory? In this interactive session, drawing on our own experiences, as well as the storied heritage of the Dingle Peninsula and locations such as Mount Brandon, Caherconree, Gleann na nGealt and Ferriter’s Cove, we will discuss the therapeutic nature of story; how it helps us make sense of the world, fosters collective action, and adds layers of meaning to our lived experience.
Participants are welcome to bring a meaningful object with a story attached to use as part of the discussion.
Kevin J. Power is a philosophy teacher and musician interested in the intersection of mind, ecology, and spirituality.
