Déanann an suiteán is déanaí ag Róisín Ní Chionnfhaolaidh sa Díseart céiliúradh ar an ndraíocht a bhaineann leis an earrach ar shlí atá an-éagsúil ar fad ar fad.

Join Róisín in the garden at 1.30pm on Saturday the 3rd May to hear her talk about the work and process that has given us the unique installation. Beidh an caint seo dátheangach.

Buail isteach dtí’n Díseart chun obair an ealaíontóra Róisín Ní  Chionnfhaolaidh a fheiscint. Bronnadh tréimhse Cónaithe Imbolc uirthi ag deireadh mhí Eanair a bhuí le @ealainnagaeltachta @duchasandaingean agus coiste An Dísirt. Chaith sí coicís i measc ghloine daite álainn Harry Clarke agus sa gháirdín a dhear Mary Reynolds.

Drawing inspiration from the enchanting garden—home to the famed Harry Clarke stained glass windows and Mary Reynolds’ landscape design—Róisín took delicate impressions of the natural world and transformed them into miniature, gilded cast glass pieces now embedded in the orchard wall of the community garden at An Díseart. Rich hues of spring green and bright yellows echo the garden’s vitality, my imagery is now fossilised in glass against a backdrop of beautiful mosses and pennyworts. The pieces feature casts of buds branches, snail shells and sculpted imaginative forms, a favourite one – a feminine embryonic figure representing Imbolc, with a coiled, fern-like tail that symbolises the eternal cycle of rebirth.
