When two Ukrainian brothers, six-year-old Daniel and three-year-old Demian, flee the war with their mother, they find refuge in the Irish countryside. But their biggest adventure begins when they discover a secret gateway to Tír na nÓg—a mythical land where time flows differently, and magic is real.
Halyna Budilova is a children’s writer, poet, songwriter, journalist, and translator from Kyiv, now based in Longford. She holds a Master’s degree in Philology and Translation. She is a member of Irish PEN and The Irish Society for the Study of Children’s Literature. Halyna has authored over 20 books, including the award winning “A very VERY angry book”.
