Ye Vagabonds brothers – Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn – are fast earning a ticket on the legend bus. They have a trademark close harmony singing, lean and tasty accompaniment and the rare ability to tell a good story in song. Born in Carlow and now based in Dublin, Ye Vagabonds accompany their rich harmonies, traditional Irish music, Appalachian-style singing and 1960’s folk influenced songs on bouzouki, guitar and mandolin. The duo was named the 2019 Best Folk Group, won Best Folk Album for their third album The Hare’s Lament and won Best Traditional Track for The Foggy Dew by the prestigious RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards.

Cormac Begley is an acclaimed concertina player from West Kerry who plays 13 concertinas that range from bass to piccolo register. Cormac was awarded Instrumentalist of the Year at the RTE Folk Awards and his latest solo album, entitled ‘B’, was awarded the Irish Times Album of the Year in 2022. This album is central to both the award-winning show Mám (directed by Micheal Keegan Dolan) and to Pat Collins’ film, The Dance.

Weaving seamlessly between traditional and contemporary songs and tunes, this spellbinding trio will remind us just how precious live music is.
