An act with the land as witness
This installation is the culmination of a solo walking project.
Mountain, forest, coast. Drawing, words, curiosities.
An art book maps my journeys, made with guidance from book artist Sandra Landers.
Collected natural materials, earth pigments and rusty objects are used to create ink, paint and dye for artworks on paper and fabric.
Performed actions throughout the festival will interact with and add to the installation.
I tread softly on the land, yet still leave traces.
Alongside the inevitable ephemera of being, I also leave deliberate offerings to be found by others, or returned to the earth.
