A native of Dingle, Co Kerry, Carl has always had a keen interest in preserving the social history of the area he grew up in, and providing future generations with a snapshot into what life was like growing up in Corca Dhuibhne.
His books contain personal accounts from local people overflowing with adventure, joy and sorrow. Their words capture the beating heart of this historic realm, with hundreds of photographs offering an insight into the people, culture and places that make Dingle one of the most historical, intriguing and mystical destinations in Ireland.
Author of three titles, ‘Dingle Before Fungi Came To Town’(2016), ‘Dingle People’(2018) and his most recent publication ‘Dingle, Lispole, Ventry/Fionntrá’ (2023), Carl will recall the great characters from yesteryear, reveal golden nuggets from the town’s history and recite snippets from his publications.
