Aistear pearsanta a fhéachann ar éanlaithe agus an domhan nádurtha mórthimpeall orm.

Observing the natural world and the impact that we have made on the planet

and on ourselves, the same question that I have been asking for decades still

arises and with it over time the answer has become clear.

Besides a love of birds and all things green which remind me of the essence

of Consciousness, their detachment, flexibility, freedom and spontaneity is

enviable. Their interdependence on one another and us on them is also clear.

Painting quietly outdoors is one place where one can observe this intimate

connection which of course includes many other flying things. Silence,

listening to nature’s endless expression of love has always raised the

question of how I am connected to them. It is a place beyond a sense of

personhood, this individual “I” most of us seem to be imprisoned by that

drive us to do or witness unthinkable things and then turn a blind eye.

What then is the nature of Consciousness? Is it apart from us? Are we apart

from It? Does It have a belief system or suffer from ego identification such as

a sense of superiority over nature? Does It have boundaries or form? Is it

formless?

Words cannot describe It because It is beyond words. With practice, no harm

is possible because when one is living from this place, one’s heart is

vibrating from a place of love and kindness, realizing the unity of all things in

this phenomenal world.

Know who you are. Unlearn many things. Free your mind and you are free.

An end to suffering.

This body of work tries to describe that journey.
