This exhibition combines recent work in glass and mosaic by Dingle Stained Glass Collective and by recent students of Dingle Further Education and Training Centre.

Work will be shown in two and three dimensional format ranging across all the techniques of mosaic, lead and copperfoil, sometimes with painted fired or etched glass reflecting the unique expression of the maker. This work involves a great range of skills, in addition to all the craft techniques, some of which are now more than a thousand years old.

Dingle Stained Glass Collective was formed in 2019 when its members came together to continue working in the medium after completion of consecutive courses at the Dingle FET Centre. We are now a group of 9 accomplished members in our network which shares ideas, enthusiasm, inspiration, ongoing  research and references as well as technical, material and practical support. We have exhibited together over several years recently and have completed 2 commissions as a group which have greatly enhanced and deepened our experience in the medium and our special creative cohesion. Group members have also completed individual commissions, made sales of our work in large and small formats and are available to do commissions to order on request.

For this exhibition we are joining with students of the ongoing courses at Dingle FET Centre to produce together a very special celebration of this work at all levels , from beginning to very advanced. Work will be shown in two and three dimensional format ranging across all the techniques of mosaic, lead and copperfoil, sometimes with painted fired or etched glass, always expressed and executed in unique and sometimes surprising ways. This work involves a great range of skills, in addition to all the craft techniques, some of which are now more than a thousand years old.

We are grateful to Dingle FET Centre and KETB for their ongoing support and facilitation. We  hope to be successful in our application and to celebrate with the community the bright fruits of our ongoing adventures with creativity, light and colour .
