Teresa Horgan, from Cork, is launching her debut solo album, “Amethyst”.

Joining her will be Donogh Hennessy, Pauline Scanlon, Niamh Varian Barry and Martin Brunsden.

Teresa Horgan, from county Cork, was immersed in music from a young age, playing whistle, flute and singing with her family and traveling to festivals together throughout the years, having a rich upbringing in Sliabh Luachra music, and other genres.

She previously toured and recorded with award-winning Irish trad group “FullSet” and recorded two critically acclaimed albums during her time with them. She also released a duo album with guitarist Matt Griffin in 2015, called “Brightest Sky Blue”. In a review by Tony Lawless (TradConnect), he described Teresa’s voice as having “just enough world weariness in her vocals to interpret…songs and make them her own”. Teresa is currently embarking on a new solo album, “Amethyst”, which will be released soon.

For the last number of years, Teresa has toured extensively with award-winning Pan-Celtic group “The Outside Track”, with whom she has recorded three studio albums.

She has shared the stage with some of the best in Irish, Scottish and Canadian trad and folk music during her travels in Ireland, the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, America, Canada, South Korea, Australia and more. Teresa has performed in the National Concert Hall in Dublin, and also on Ireland’s acclaimed “The Late Late Show”. Some festivals she has played at include “Celtic Connections” in Glasgow, “Celtic Colors” in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and several other Irish and Scottish music festivals around the world.

Teresa lives in Dingle where she is surrounded by, and performs with, some of the most talented musicians in the country.

Is amhránaí  and ceoltóir cumhachtach í Teresa Horgan a fhanann i bhfad i gcuimhne a cuid éisteoirí lena stíl thraidisiúnta agus cheol tíre.
