Talking to unseen presences is a common human activity. In the 21st century to commune with nature, to pray to God, to talk to our ancestors are considered superstitious acts, yet we regularly, and unselfconsciously talk to computers; Google, Siri, Alexa, ChatGPT. Is this cutting edge progress or just another instance of the human urge to engage with non-human intelligence? This interactive session will allow us to reflect on how our distant past is reflected the present, and what we might learn from this.

Ar Slí Na Fírinne/On the Path of Truth
“The geography of my mind is the geography of the world I walk in” – John Moriarty.   The inner world and the outer world are mirrored as we celebrate the life of one of Ireland’s most fascinating intellects. We follow Moriarty’s physical journey from his father’s home in Baile an Locaigh to Mangerton via Dublin, Canada, and Connemara and learn how this paralleled his psychological journey from an inquisitive youth to an utterly unique spiritual, ecological, and philosophical voice.
