Tom Delany:

Is píobaire uilleann, amhránaí, seinnteoir bouzouki, agus giotáraí é Tom Delany a bhfuil cáil idirnáisiúnta air de bharr a stíl dhinimiciúil, dhána. Agus é ag seinm go misniúil, sealbhaíonn sé spiorad an cheoil thraidisiúnta Ghaelaigh, rud a fhágann go bhfuil ainm in airde aige i saol an cheoil tíre.

Tom is a founding member of the renowned group FOURWINDS (https://www.fourwindsirishmusic.com/), a band celebrated for its genre-blending interpretations of Irish and folk music. He has toured extensively throughout Europe, North America, and Australasia, performing at some of the most prestigious festivals in the world, including Celtic Connections, Woodford Folk Festival, and Dublin Irish Festival.

In 2022, Tom released The Lark’s Call (https://carolineandtom.webbuild.uk/product/tom-delany-the-larks-call/), a highly anticipated solo album that received widespread critical acclaim for its innovative approach to traditional music, ag léiriú a mháistreacht ar na píobaí uilleann, bua na hamránaíochta agus é ábalta ionstraimí éagsúla a sheinm chomh maith.

Tom has also collaborated with Caroline Keane on Never Say Goodbye, Say Good Luck (https://carolineandtom.webbuild.uk/product/never-say-goodbye-say-good-luck/) (2017), further cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting musical pairings in the contemporary folk scene. His expansive body of work extends to high-profile collaborations, having guested with Grammy Award-winning artist Kacey Musgraves and featured on the hit television series *Bad Sisters*. Tom is also a regular guest on both Irish and international television and radio, and his virtuosity as a featured artist on albums by leading international musicians continues to earn him global recognition.

Awarded the Traditional Arts Bursary Award in 2021 and 2023 by the Irish Arts Council, Tom is deeply committed to preserving and evolving the uilleann pipes—an instrument now recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage protected art. His work as an ambassador for the instrument, combined with his international reputation, has made him a key figure in both traditional and contemporary music scenes.
