Join ecologist and broadcaster Anja Murray for a captivating guided walk in which we will journey through time, exploring the ever-changing relationship between people and nature in Ireland.
The journey will begin with the earliest inhabitants, who lived from the seasonal offerings of nature in a richly wooded environment. In the intervening millennia, landscapes have been tamed by successive influxes of new people and cultures, each with a different set of values and ever-growing ability to change the environment around them.
Finding ourselves now in a biodiversity crisis, we will explore the many ways we can shift both attitudes and practices to empower change for the future.
This will be a reflective, informative experience for anyone interested in ecology, heritage, or the future of Ireland’s natural world.
Meet at Dingle Mart Car Park for carpooling to location (15 min onward journeytime)
