German Film Maker Martin Rosswog returns to Dingle with the film.
In 1976, guided by Peadar Curran, a local horse dealer, Martin Rosswog discovered a unique
place on the cusp of major social, cultural and economical change, a catalyst to his life’s work in documenting European rural life.
In 2022, whilst on a visit to Dingle for an exhibition of his early photographic work, Martin made a film, to document the changes to places he photographed from the ‘70s –‘90s. This film captures what’s lost and gained in the local community through the creation of a modern
Ireland.
Based on Martin’s documentary work of the same era a second screening of this film will at 5pm on Sunday will include additional footage from the Iveragh Peninsula.
