Our end of year Art, Craft & Design exhibition incorporates wire sculpture, painting & mixed media, relief printmaking and jewellery artworks. Through many diverse mediums this exhibition celebrates the creative talents and individual ideas of those who took part in some of our Art and Craft FET programmes. We hope you enjoy the wonderful painted colours, graphic prints and wire used in ways you never thought possible.

SYRA LARKIN, EITHNE O'RIORDAN, GERRY BARRY Three artists have come together for Féile na Bealtaine to exhibit their own work with the intention of supporting each other. In addition to the exhibition, Gerry Barry will present a video documentary of the artist at work at 12 midday on Saturday 4th in the exhibition room. This will be  followed by Syra Larkin's 'There is Still Time ' slide presentation.

Contemporary Tapestry Artists Ireland (CTA) is a group of professional tapestry weavers working in studios all over the country who come together to collaborate and exhibit their work to raise the profile of this textile medium. Slow Time with a Butterfly refers to the slow, detailed practice of tapestry weaving. The technique uses “butterflies” or bobbins of coloured yarns woven through a cotton or linen warp to create the image of the artist’s design.

ELOUISE FLANNERY This work aims to inspire a recognition of the sacred in the ordinary. The work references  ancient Irish folklore with the principles of feng shui creating a mesmerizing tapestry that bridges the earthly and the Ethereal.

URSULA TRAMSKI /TANJA HOFFMANN A collaboration between two artists that invites the viewer to tune in and immerse and engage in dialogue made by humans for humans.

RHONWEN HAYES This exhibition explores the themes of shelter and safety within the confines of local landscape and the people that are close to the artist.

PAULINE CULBERT Strolling the streets I was delighted by pattern and colour and chose just a few to attempt to represent in acrylic on canvas.

DINGLE STAINED GLASS COLLECTIVE The exhibition showcases recent work by members of the Dingle Stained Glass Collective.

CLODAGH EDWARDS Heads submerged, immersed, floating, all disrupted. Pattern fields, liquids and the unseen imply a surface tension. An eerie, atmospheric collection of portraits painting in oils.

LAURA BARRY Laura’s newest collection of paintings is called Sonas, meaning happiness in the Irish language, and focuses on the places that have brought some of the most contented, memorable moments and milestones to Laura throughout her life so far. 

HETTY LAWLOR Portrait artist Hetty is exhibiting some of her work, her portraiture reflects her interest in wildlife and animals as well as people.

BEN DEARNLEY International sculpture Ben Dearnley will be exhibiting his latest work, Carraig an Ghiorria, the Hare's Rock – scéalta bhéaloideais a mhaireann fós faoi ghiorria na hÉireann beo sa tírdhreacht timpeall orainn, gan aon athrú, agus i gcló, Carraig an Ghiorria ag Seán Mac an tSitihgh (Ponc Press).

ANN REILLY The artist explores archetypes, which are accessed from the collective unconsciousness through meditation and dreams.

Rachael Lavelle is a Dublin born singer and composer who captivates audiences with her arresting voice and humorous observations on existence.Merging classical and contemporary influences, her hypnotic live performances blend electronic soundscapes with spoken word and acrobatic vocals. Her album Big Dreams was shortlisted for Ireland’s Choice Music prize and is currently supporting Lankum on tour.

Lotus Hall, a dynamic indie bandcomprised of young adults from Chorca Dhuibhne, is set to make their debut witha blend of captivating original compositions and alternative covers.

Cormac’s career has gone from strength to strength over the past year; selling out Vicar Street,headlining the National Concert Hall, winning Best Folk Instrumentalist 2022 at the RTÉ Folk Awards and Irish Times Album of the Year 2022, with his second solo album ‘B’. The album ‘B’ celebrates the bass concertina, a very rare instrument.

Saothar Nua, a collection of new works.  Noel O Grady will share stories about Brendan Kennelly at the opening.

MARIE BRETT An enchanting exhibition and film event, mixing how electromagnetic energy and folklore, relate to human health and our relationship to the land. This fascinating artwork offers creative space to reflect on a significant global wellness issue. Founded in 1992, Voices of Limerick is a mixed voice choir SATB and enjoy singing many of the great choral arrangements and also perform works which have been arranged especially for the choir. Local singer Segotia aka Sorcha Ní Bhriain Fusing her traditional musical upbringing with her love of contemporary indie song writing and delicate soundscapes, Seogtia creates music that lures you in and warms the soul. Fans of Adrianne Lenker, Julia Jacklin and Lankum will appreciate her craft.

Each kid will get busy designing a bird on paper and writing a poem for their bird. After the workshop, we'll turn their design into a Dingle COP bird made from fabric remnants and filled with sheep's wool.

SILKE MICHELS The short film, “You Breathe me”, is a collaberation by Silke Michels and Tomasz Madajczak, exploring through deep listening and an embodied presence how to awaken again our sense of belonging to nature.

Susan has spent the last few years honing her craft as a solo performer. A songwriter of hidden depths, with a timeless voice that is equal parts balm and blowtorch, she is audacity personified, a free spirit, a real performer. Susan ‘Now You See It’ EP scooped the ‘Best Original Folk Song’ award for its namesake track at the RTE 1 Folk awards in 2023.

CLARE LANGAN The film explores the disconnection between humankind and nature and ultimately within ourselves. It is about redressing this imbalance, which has reached a tipping point. Global ecology is a delicate balancing act. It has become necessary for humans to evolve within their environment in order to survive.

Sudden Wells is a musical project led by composer and songwriter Michael Gallen. He will be joined on stage by Muireann Nic Amhaloibh and I have a Tribe. The band brings together some of Ireland and Europe's finest musicians, creating an atmospheric sound that merges an intimate, lyrical quality with expansive, pulsating musical arrangements.

'NO MAN IS AN ISLAND' - 'A theatrical exploration and interpretation of Irish Folklore, written and performed by The Dingle Youth Theatre'

As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Harry Clarke's vision for the Chapel of the Presentation Convent, now part of the Díseart Institute of Irish Spirituality and Culture, this lecture will explore the artistry, individuality, and inventiveness of Clarke's work in glass.

‘Dúchas agus Dóchas’ is the rediscovery and revival of a vast and unbroken oral tradition in Clare, from big sean-nós songs to hilarious local narratives and present day compositions.

LAURA ELANDS is a puppeteer and visual artist from Brussels. In 2019 she created her puppet theatre company, Théâtre de l'Heure Bleue, which explores themes related to human experiences through a visual language of puppet figures and materials that express feelings and sensations that can be difficult to put into words.

Dingle native Pa Sheehy, will bring his acoustic tour to Páidí Ó Sé's. After releasing his award winning debut EP “ The Art Of Disappearing”, he made his TV debut on Other Voices and went onto sell out a European tour, and secured some major festivals around Ireland and the UK.
