SYRA LARKIN, EITHNE O'RIORDAN, GERRY BARRY Three artists have come together for Féile na Bealtaine to exhibit their own work with the intention of supporting each other. In addition to the exhibition, Gerry Barry will present a video documentary of the artist at work at 12 midday on Saturday 4th in the exhibition room. This will be followed by Syra Larkin's 'There is Still Time ' slide presentation.

Contemporary Tapestry Artists Ireland (CTA) is a group of professional tapestry weavers working in studios all over the country who come together to collaborate and exhibit their work to raise the profile of this textile medium. Slow Time with a Butterfly refers to the slow, detailed practice of tapestry weaving. The technique uses “butterflies” or bobbins of coloured yarns woven through a cotton or linen warp to create the image of the artist’s design.

Susan O’Neill
Susan has spent the last few years honing her craft as a solo performer. A songwriter of hidden depths, with a timeless voice that is equal parts balm and blowtorch, she is audacity personified, a free spirit, a real performer. Susan ‘Now You See It’ EP scooped the ‘Best Original Folk Song’ award for its namesake track at the RTE 1 Folk awards in 2023.
